Oh, The People You Will Meet

We were admitted at 6pm on March 17th. Since I had to go in to the hospital to be monitored twice a week for the past month, I knew a lot of the nurses. All the nurses were great, but my 2 favorite were Karrie and Becky. Their shift was over at 7pm but when they heard I had been admitted, they wanted to do all the prep work for me. It was great. We joked around and chatted... that's when we found out that they had worked at Community Hospital in Springfield before coming to Dublin Methodist. I explained that my bother and sister-in-law worked there. We all just laughed. They asked if I grew up in Springfield and I explained that I had actually grown up in Mechanicsburg. Becky started laughing... she had grown up there and now lives there. Karrie was married to a guy that went to the same private school I had in Springfield. Such a small world!!!

They got me all prepped and started the IV pitocin which would start active labor contractions. Becky and Karrie had to take off, but it was wonderful to have such a great start to my stay.
