I forgot to explain the happenings of the weekend of March 14th.
David, Halley, Mike, Amanda, Brandon and I all met at Mom and Dad's for an evening of food and games. We knew Baby Canterbury was coming soon and wanted to get together. We had a great time as usual. We didn't end up playing games but instead we did the typical- sat in the living room and talked for a few hours.
Before Mike and Amanda left, they asked if the family could pray over me for an easy and safe delivery of Baby C. Mike handed me a little square piece of cloth and explained that since I hadn't been with them, him and Amanda had prayed over this cloth and had it anointed during a prayer revival they had at their church. The family then gathered around me and Amanda prayed. She prayed specifically that not only would Baby Canterbury be healthy and have a safe delivery, but that labor would last no longer than 3 hours from the moment I went into labor and the moment she was born.
I believe that no one should put God in a box. God can work in ways we can't even imagine and that includes a "prayer cloth".
