Road Trip

Claire's first 2+ hour roadtrip! Oh isn't life crazy now! Great grandma and grandpa Hoover loved spending time with little Claire.

She watched some basketball with Great Grandpa...
And took long naps with daddy...

Visiting Great Great Grandpa

Claire with her Great Great Grandpa (Loy Luman)
Brandon and I traveled up to Fostoria to see his family and to show off Claire of course! We wanted to introduce great Grandpa Loy to baby Claire so we stopped by on Sunday before we headed home. He held her the entire time we were there. Grandpa Loy was as sassy as ever, flirting with the nurses. He was so happy to hold little Claire.

Five generations - Loy Luman, Pat Luman Hoover, (Patti Hoover Canterbury), Brandon Canterbury and Claire Canterbury

Grandpa Loy passed away on Tuesday, 2 days after meeting baby Claire. He was able to hold his great great grandaughter. Not many people get to have that.

First Bath

Claire wasn't too sure about the whole submersion into water at first
But then she realized she loved it!
She absolutely loves baths now and get so happy to take them! Claire is such a good baby!
Check out her curls...

Claire's 1st Easter

Claire's first Easter - April 12, 2009

I realized the day before Easter that I didn't get her an Easter basket! What a terrible mother! So, my mom and dad were in town so mom and I ran to Walmart and scavenged for any remaining Easter candy and this was the very pitiful result...
Her basket was bigger than her! It was the first Easter basket I had made for Brandon so it was kind of special (and cheap)!
This is her thinking pose...
And her diva pose (she does this one a lot)...
